Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney, born Amal Ramzi Alamuddin is a British-Lebanese Barrister and human rights activist and philanthropist. After graduating from Oxford University School of Law she pursued an extensive and successful profession in the field of human rights and international law. The clients she has worked with include the people of Armenia who is battling the Turkish government over the acknowledgement and apology for Armenia's Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney was engaged in 2014 and later married American actor George Clooney. She instantly became a household word. Prior to that, the actress was known for successfully representing her clients in courts and had a good reputation. The scope of her work ranges from tackling social justice and human rights concerns to representing multinational corporations during negotiation and court cases regarding government regulation. As of 2015, she's an attorney, a type of legal representative within British courts at London-based Doughty Street Chambers.
